Some More Of My Stories for You

There is not too much new and exciting going on for me these days. When the weather starts getting too warm as it is now, I do not go out as much as I did before in the spring and want to do over the next few months.

Of course, I will go out as many times I can during the day both so that I can enjoy all that I see and for my required physical exercising to help me keep better. Unfortunately, as the days get warmer, I only can go out for a long walk early in the morning and in an area where there is a lot of tree coverage so I can eliminate as much of the sun as I can. Who wants to get sunburned! I will go out much later in the daytime when the sun goes down a bit but I do not walk the same amount of distance as I did before. Again, it is just too warm to go as far.

Here are some stories that I found. Since I'm not going to be outside watching as much, I figured that I might as well let you know about some of the things about which I am thinking.

INVESTIGATING THE WINDSOR POLICE

Wow, this is quite a story that I read in the Windsor media:

"The Windsor Police Service is under investigation by the Ontario Civilian Police Commission.

According to the commission from January 2018 to April 2018 they received multiple complaints from members of the Windsor Police Service. These complaints “raise serious concerns about the workplace environment of the WPS, the administration of the WPS, and the oversight provided by the Windsor Police Services Board.” (Windsorite.ca, June 13, 2018)

It is quite an event for the Police Department considering this:

“May 4th, 2018, the Commission decided to conduct an investigation.”

Unfortunately, we are not provided with any information that specifically tells us what this is all about. That does not make this investigation helpful at all for us to know what is involved.

We will just have to wait and see what happens and what the results are. Hopefully, decisions will be made and publicized before our elections in the fall. Who knows who is part of this matter.

CONDO LANDSCAPING

Here are before and after pictures of the front of my Conduit in Tecumseh.

When you look at Photo One, above you will see how overgrown trees and shrubs were at the time. The photo was taken relatively recently after the plants had grown quite substantially since the wintertime.

Photo Two is the magnificent work that our Landscaping Company did to fix up not only my property but all of the properties in the Condo Centre where I live and also all the properties across the street in another Condo Corporation.

Their staff members who work on our site are excellent. They do such a good job not only every week when they come here to do the usual tasks but every time they undertake additional work to make our site looks so nice.

OMERS PENSION PLAN

I wonder how good, or bad, the OMERS pension plan is financially these days.

I can recall a number of years ago when OMERS had financial difficulties because the stock market did very poorly. The share valuation of its investments decreased significantly so that OMERS had to take steps to try to increase valuation over time so that pension holders would receive the full amount of the pension funds when they retired.

I think the stock market has done fairly well over the last few years. If you will recall, the stock markets in both Canada and United States have hit stock market high records in the last little while. Perhaps, this is why the Union President who is involved in pension plan matters made the following comments:

“The OMERS pension plan is in good shape financially and will ensure a dignified retirement for the hundreds of thousands of Ontarians who’ve paid into it throughout their working careers,” said Warren Thomas, the union’s president, in a press release.

“We don’t see any good reason to scale back the size of peoples’ pensions or to increase the amount that people pay in. We’ll fight any proposal to do either.” (Martha Porado, BenefitsCanada.com, June 14, 2018)

One would think that the people involved on the Government side of this matter would be so pleased about how well the Pension Plan has done and would take a lot of the credit for the improvement. Unfortunately, that has not happened. The Chief executive officer of the OMERS’ sponsors corporation made the following comment:

“It’s about modernizing the plan to the extent that we can, ensuring in the process that it remains sustainable, meaningful and affordable for all the stakeholders, whether they be employers or members, both current and future,” he says.

While the short-term returns for the plan look good, there’s more to the picture of the plan’s health, says Harrietha. “The plan is currently in a deficit situation, so despite these short-term results, we still have a deficit after the 2008 financial crisis. We’re not fully recovered.”

In fact, the situation could be horrible if one believes this:

“Rigorous actuarial modelling shows the cost of the plan will continue to rise over time and the required contribution levels both from members and employers would eventually increase beyond reasonable levels, says Harrietha.”

I have not got the faintest idea who is right or wrong in this matter. Could it mean that employees will be demanding much higher wages in the future so that they can afford to pay the higher pension rates so that their Pension Plan payments will remain as high as they all expect them to be.

One might want to consider whether this matter may become an issue that will be required to be discussed when the employees' employment contract with the Government has to be renegotiated. Could it be something that could lead to a strike in the future?

More News For You To Read

Just a very short introduction before I make some comments on here. I thought you should know this:

"Red-hot planet: All-time heat records have been set all over the world during the past week

From the normally mild summer climes of Ireland, Scotland and Canada to the scorching Middle East, numerous locations in the Northern Hemisphere have witnessed their hottest weather ever recorded over the past week.

Large areas of heat pressure or heat domes scattered around the hemisphere led to the sweltering temperatures.” (Jason Samenow, Washington Post, July 4, 2018)

There, a very short story about the weather. Now for something different.

In reading the newspaper online these days, I think that we may have some interesting stories taking place. I just do not mean in this area only but all across North America.

Sure, we're having our local elections taking place in the fall. That should be very interesting after the recent provincial election and about a year ahead of the federal election. It just seems to be getting so late to me for people to announce that they are going to run for office in our area. They have to sign up quickly now or they will be in big trouble running.

I just don't understand this. I must admit that, if I was going to run for office, I would sign up as early as I could and would have been circulating throughout my riding to get voters to meet up with me by now. I would want to visit their homes personally and through deliveries as many times as I could to get their support. Why hasn't this happened in the City of Windsor as an example? Especially, with respect to some people that I thought would be running who have not yet filed an application.

We will be having a federal election Canada in 2019. I am sure that we will see a lot of stories coming out about the people who will be running for office. Of course, I expect that many of them will be written about the Liberal leader, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He seems to have a good number stories written about him these days. Unfortunately for him, and the Liberals, a lot of those stories are strongly negative.

Regretfully, I can tell you little about the leaders of the other parties. I hardly have seen anything at all about them these days. If I was someone working for an Opposition party, what I would be doing now was getting as much good publicity as I could in the media about my leader.

What will happen federally in the US? Their election is in the fall this year. Sure he is not running now because his term is for four years but it will be interesting to see what happens in the US in relation to the President. The most interest will be how many Republicans are elected in this election. The Republicans had 54 Senate seats which gave them the majority and 247 House seats which also gave them a very large majority there.

Will the Democrats be able to gain control of either the House or Senate or both of them so that President Trump will be a difficult position to get what he wants passed. Alternatively, has he done so well that he will keep the majority in both Levels of Government? One can expect a lot more news media stories over the next few months which one can read and try and figure out what can happen.

Do you see what I mean? There will be a lot of political stories that I will be writing primarily because I am so interested in the subject. However, there are a lot of other matters about which I will be writing as well.

Of course, there is one story that I am going to write about today but it is probably not what you think I would be saying.

Just to let you know directly, dear reader, I have no idea about what is really going on these days with respect to the border crossing in the Windsor/Detroit area. I am just speculating now on what could be happening. I have to admit that I doubt that it is today but who knows what might happen tomorrow.

I am not going to discuss very much about the event with respect to the construction of a new Governments Bridge in this area that just took place. I just do not think very much about it.

I have no idea what the cost of this Governments Bridge project will be since it started quite low, increased to just over $2 billion and has gone up as high as $8 billion. In reading the stories just published, the numbers between $3 and $4 billion seem to be the ones that are thrown around the most these days. No matter what the numbers are it seems that the costs for the Ambassador Bridge project are substantially lower since the total projected cost seems to be around $1 billion for what they want to do. Frankly, how can the Governments go forward with their project that may go anywhere from three times to eight times higher in construction cost. Does it make sense at all to do so!

If however you believe that the costs are known, then think again:

"Further details about the design, and cost, of the bridge are expected later this year.” (WXYZ, July 5, 2018)

What really troubles me is what taxpayers would have to pay if this bridge goes forward. It would seem that there is no such price these days. I just wonder what the new builder of the project would say about the "guaranteed cost" that it would put forward.

Of course, I have not seen anything yet about what the Ambassador Bridge Company will do to try to stop this bridge being built. What interests me though is whether they will start a lawsuit or not to prevent this from happening. If one is started, where will it be done? Will the action be commenced in Canada, the United States, in both countries or somewhere else internationally wherever that might be?

I expect that whatever court action is taken will go on for at least a decade! How many other lawsuits are outstanding now that have to be resolved. Just add another massive one.

Or maybe, this is all just something that is being done to obscure something else that could be taking place now. Could the various Governments and the Ambassador Bridge Company be working on some kind of a deal to handle the border crossing matter to arrive at a new arrangement? I have no idea whatsoever about whether this is true or not.

Just think about it though considering this event that just took place recently that very few seemed to know about at all in advance. After a very long time as the owner, the Moroun Family just sold some of their property in Detroit to the Ford Motor Company for an unknown price but one which I assume made them a nice profit. Are they trying to do something similar with respect to the Ambassador Bridge?

What if the Governments are prepared to pay them a substantial amount to take over their ownership of the Ambassador Bridge which would give them justification for building a second bridge right beside it? As I said above, the cost for building the Governments bridge has risen substantially. Could that be part of what is going on? After all, the price being suggested to build the bridge that the Governments are talking about now is in the many billions of dollars, a lot more than before.

What if the cost to sell from the Ambassador Bridge Company to the Governments is in the range being thrown about in the media these days? What if the deal goes through at a very high price, but below the numbers being exaggerated today for the new Governments bridge cost? No one would be negative at that time because I would suggest to you, dear reader, that the price will be below any of the exaggerated amounts that are being thrown around today.

All I can say about what I have just discussed is: Who knows! We will just have to wait and see what happens.

A Hot Time Blog

Yes I know it is officially now summertime. However, is it ever hot out. Oh sure, we have experienced this kind of temperature before but I can't remember temperatures this high for so many days for a very long time.

Thank goodness at least that we have air-conditioning in our house to keep the temperatures bearable.

Normally, I set out my own personal comments before I post a lot of the interesting stories which I would like you to read. This time I don't think I have the brainpower around to come up with something special at the beginning of my Blogs. Rather, I'm just going to start talking about some of the very interesting events that have captured my attention.

RUNNING FOR OFFICE

I just saw that my Tecumseh Ward 2 Councillor, Bill Altenhof, is running for re-election. That goodness for that.

I have dealt with him on a number of issues that have been concerns to me since I moved into Tecumseh. I appreciate his assistance in taking the steps to get them resolved.

So far, I have seen no one running against him and I would be surprised if anyone does. In my opinion, he has a strong chance to be re-elected.

Interestingly, so far, only in one Ward is there competition for seats on Council. It will be interesting to see if there will be competition in the other wards as we approach the deadline for running in Council.

I must admit that I would be surprised if there is a lot of competition because residents in the area seem to like what Council is doing. Accordingly, why run against a favoured politician when the chances of losing for an opponent are high.

THE NEW GOVERNMENT BRIDGE

Interesting, I just happened to see this posting for the job to become President of the Government bridge in this area. It had a very interesting comment in it:

“President & CEO Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority

The Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA), a Canadian Crown corporation, was established in October 2012, with the mandate to enable construction and operation of a new international crossing between Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan, Canada’s busiest border crossing point. The largest public-private partnership project in Canadian history, it includes four components: a six-lane high level bridge; a Canadian port of entry (POE) with border inspection and toll facilities; a U.S. POE with border inspection; and an interchange with Interstate 75. Construction will take place over four to five years, at an anticipated cost of $3.5 - $4 billion.”

I am so happy to see that "officially" the cost of the new bridge is $3.5 billion to $4 billion. That is quite a significant increase from what seemed to be the cost of that bridge quoted before. Wasn't there also a suggestion that, in fact, cost might go up to $8 billion! Interestingly, the cost today to complete the Moroun's Ambassador Bridge project is about $500 million. The new crossing is at a cost so much higher.  It is nothing more than a gigantic drain on our tax dollars.

I saw the story on June 27 in the Windsor Star announcing the appointment of Bryce Phillips as the new President of the Government Bridge Company.

You might want to read this other story if you have some time "Fall construction start eyed for Gordie Howe bridge”

For some reason, this article was posted publicly on June 27 as well. However, the person quoted throughout the entire article was WDBA spokesperson Mark Butler. Interestingly, he also made the comment of the cost of the bridge at around $3 billion.

What a coincidence on the date that this story came out publicly. As you can tell, it is the same date as the name of the new President was announced.

I wonder, do you think that this story was written for the public to learn about the situation now or was it really written to let the new President know exactly what is going on and what he must do to move this project forward. I will let you make that decision.

MORE GOOD HEALTH NEWS

Here is some good news in the medical area that has a very positive impact on people who live in Tecumseh.  That just happens to be where my house is located:

“Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare will soon be able to provide cardiac services at a planned new satellite site as part of the expansion of the Tecumseh Arena.”

It is interesting that what is being done is due to Tecumseh's geographical location. Here is what Bill Marra, vice president of external and government affairs for Hôtel-Dieu stated:

“The location in Tecumseh allows us to hit a catchment area, which includes east Windsor, the town of Tecumseh, Lakeshore and even draw potential patients from the town of Essex” (CBC News, June 25, 2018)

Now why would it be located as part of Tecumseh Arena? Here is what was said about that which may seem surprising:

“Marra also cited the convenience of having the rehab clinic under the same roof as the recreation centre, which will include indoor sports fields, offices and activity rooms.

"It's going to have a walking track and other amenities that'll be very complementary to our program." he said. "It's a perfect fit with the recreation facility they're building."

Congratulations for setting up something so important in Tecumseh at a great location!

Hot Weather

Yes, I remember. I must not write too much anymore on here about the weather since I have written so much about it already. And, of course, most of it is all personal to me!

Now I did promise not to do too much of it. I want to keep my word on it but it is so hot outside and it is supposed to be this warm for such a long period of time that I felt that I could write a few comments on what is happening.

I am sure that you can find out as much as you want about the weather by going to a number of Weather Sites on the Internet. Go and do that if you want to understand more about it. As an example, you will see how long we will be hit with such warm temperatures and really wonder if you can cope with it when you read what the "feels like" temperature is. That can increase the actual temperature by as much as 10 to 12°C.

Of course, if you have young kids in your house, you will have to take care of them to make sure that they do not get too warm because they can get quite ill if that happens. Naturally, you will want to consider if you can take them swimming at one of the local pools in the area. If you have a pool in your own backyard or if a neighbour or friend invites you over to their place to swim, steps have to be taken to make sure that the kids don't get sunburned by staying out too long even if they are enjoying themselves.

More importantly though, I would like to tell you that I like to go outside and cook. After all for so many years, I have gone and made the best BBQed meal that I could for the family to enjoy. In fact, this year I have done some things differently so that the taste of the meat is even better than before.

One must prepare properly in advance. After all, it is very difficult to cook inside when the BBQ unit is calling you to come outside to prepare wonderful food for the family.

You have to have the right food for BBQing for dinner a few times while the weather is so warm. Now that is a lot of fun to do especially if you, dear reader, think you are a well-qualified BBQ chef. Since I have a great location where I buy my meat, I make sure that we go to the best meat place in town and buy enough ahead of time. The meat we have in our freezer is then defrosted with enough time so that I can spice it up before I BBQ it. Chicken is also frozen in advance and is always defrosted and spiced before it goes onto the grill so that it just tastes fantastic.

One of the things that I do is make extra barbecued items and then freeze them so we can enjoy our dinners on other nights when we only have to defrost them and heat them up. That is a very good way to make meals easily in the future.

Oh dear, I have to stop thinking about this so much now. All of a sudden I am getting my appetite worked up. Instead, I better start writing stories about what is going on around here these days.

MILITARISTIC COMPARISON OF COUNTRIES

If you want to learn a lot about the military condition of countries around the world, 136 of them, then go to this website www.GlobalFirepower.com

This site provides all kinds of information about each one of them. One thing that I found very interesting is that one can have two countries compared with each other with respect to their military power. That makes it very interesting to see which country is more powerful if they are nasty between each other.

Of course, there is a very detailed report about Canada's military position. Canada's rank is #25. Just so you know, dear reader, the US is #1 and Russia is #2 while China is #3.

This Website gives you all kinds of information about the military condition of each country. It talks about each country's military manpower size, military department strength respecting assets they control and financial position.

Go take a look at its Website if you have any interest at all in this subject.

A BENEFIT TO DOWNTOWN WINDSOR. AND ELSEWHERE

Here is some hope that some positive changes are going to be made on Erie Street and also in other areas of Windsor and the surrounding county soon. I believe that the opportunities are there now. Take a look at this story:

"Only two years ago the place sat abandoned, a decrepit relic, a magnet for drugs and prostitution.

Now the 1922 building on Erie Street West at Victoria Avenue is enjoying a complete makeover and should fill up by the fall — four apartments and five retail spaces — all thanks to an Ottawa developer.” (Craig Pearson, Windsor Star, June 28, 2018)

The reality is that is very cheap to buy property in Windsor for a business and people from out of town should be doing it now, especially real estate developers. Moreover, it is also very cheap to buy property here where someone ought to be living as their house.

Just to give you my example, when I bought my property in Windsor many years ago to begin living here, it was larger in size than the house I sold when I was living in Toronto. However, the price of my Windsor home that I bought was just a fraction of the price that I received on the sale of my Toronto unit.

Today, I can just imagine how much more expensive my former Toronto home is compared with similar property in Windsor. I frankly don't understand how many people can even afford to buy a place in Toronto even at the very low mortgage rates these days. However, lots of places are being sold in that area.

I would hope that many people from out of town are going to find out about our pricing and to see the advantages that they have for moving here. One of the things that our municipal Governments should be doing is publicizing as best as possible the opportunities not only for starting a business here because of our location but also because of how cheap it is for the business owner and its employees to live here.

MORE POSITIVE NEWS

I like living in Tecumseh. Our Mayor and City Council here just seem to be doing the right things for us. Oh sure, some of what they will be doing costs a fair bit of money. Yet, they seem to be able to find it and spend it without increasing our taxes by some huge amounts. Again, some of these projects just have to be done or we can find ourselves in the middle of a mess that will cost us dearly.

Let me give you one example of what I mean that was reported in the news recently:

“Tecumseh Mayor Gary McNamara says the town is committed to spending millions of dollars more in new flood prevention measures.

McNamara tells AM800 News, the town's new stormwater management master plan is set to be presented to council in late September. The master plan will outline millions of dollars in recommended projects to fight back against increasingly severe storm and rain events.

"We've got a lot more work to do. We're going to continue to invest a large amount of capital to deal with, again, protecting homes," says McNamara.” (Ricardo Veneza, AM800, June 27, 2018)

I am sure that you will remember, as I certainly do, the flooding this area has suffered in the last few years. For me, this was the first time that I had several inches of water in my basement that caused damage. This required my Insurance Company to arrange for the repairs and to pay the money needed to fix everything up. I can just imagine how many millions of dollars all the Insurers had to pay to so many homeowners as a result of the flooding.

Of course, who knows when this is going to happen again. I know I don't want to have the misery thinking about this when weather projections talk about thunderstorms and give out warnings.

As you will understand, that is the reason why I enjoyed reading that newspaper article. I have seen how much money was spent but I have to tell you that I am surprised that we had so much damage over the past couple of years. I wonder if we actually spent the money in the way we needed before considering all the damage that was done:

“McNamara says the town has already spent upwards of $50-million towards flood mitigation since 2011 including backwater valve subsidy, sewer rehab and downspout disconnection programs.

He expects another $25-million to $30-million in spending is likely to be included in the master plan.”

I am hoping that what will be spent soon will be spent on the right tasks. In addition, I hope the work is being done as quickly as possible so that if it does happen to rain heavily no one will suffer any damage in their homes.

Wonderful Action Taken

I may as well be clear about it. I believe that a lot of people in my area were suffering a major problem in their homes recently, as we were in our house, but that we all knew very little about it. By that I mean, what caused the problem in the first place, how serious was it, whom would you call to fix it, when would they come and how much was it going to cost!

What happened that I experienced was that, over about a week and a half recently, electrical power in my house turned off and then almost immediately turned back on again. This happened on different days during that time period, just once per day however, at different times from very early in the morning to late in the afternoon. There seemed to be very little timing consistency other than the first two day failures when the power went off and on between 6:30 and 7 AM.

I decided that I was going to get involved in this matter as a resident impacted by it right away to help get it fixed up. One of the reasons for doing this was my fear that the problem that we had might be a very serious one and that we could lose our power for a very long period of time when the coming temperatures for the next several days were to be very high in the mid-90°F range. That temperature was expected towards this weekend.

If you remember, dear reader, the area where I lived in Tecumseh, and perhaps in other areas, some time ago had a massive electrical issue that required major work to correct the problem. I remember the experience I had in it when the electrical firm suggested early on not to worry about it because it was probably the animals that were fooling around with the wires that caused the breakdown for a short period time. Of course, that was not true and eventually the decision was made to replace parts and fix up the system to prevent the outages.

My thought was that the problem that we were having now was very simple. It was the same as before! All that I had to do was call the power company because they had the ability to fix it right away because they had the experience in doing so.

I am not going to get into a major conversation about it but naturally when I first called up I did not speak to an employee but to an outside operator. She took my message about the problem and suggested what was first offered last time. She suggested the same cause of the problem as before ie. small little animals.

I told her in a very nice way that she was completely wrong and that I needed to speak to someone in the company as quickly as possible. Just to let you know, the company that I had to approach first was Essex Powerlines Corporation. It was one that I knew very little about and in fact was not aware they were involved at all in the previous difficult situation.

I spoke early on with Joe Barile, General Manager, Essex Powerlines Corporation. He was a very senior member of that organization.  Our conversations went very well. There was no difficulty for me in handling the situation with him. He was well aware that it was my view that his Company had the legal obligation to handle the situation as quickly as possible.

Here's where some surprising information came in. He told me early on that his firm really had no big role in this matter. Oh sure, they sent out the bill to receive payment and if there were some issues, his company was supposed to be called to handle them. However the reality was that Hydro Inc. was the company that I should be calling because of their role in supplying the power to my family!

I told him that I believed that. I told him in fact that I had called Hydro One before speaking with him and they tried to tell me that they had no reason for speaking with me but rather that I should call his company to handle the matter. I quickly told the person I spoke with on the telephone to transfer me right away to someone upwards in their organization. When she did, I spoke with one of their managers and told her quite directly they knew that they had the obligation to fix things up and I expected them to do so by working with Essex Powerlines immediately. Fortunately, that lady told me that she would look into the matter and handle it right away.

Another party, the third one, got involved after I contacted them as well: the Town of Tecumseh. The people who got involved and made me very pleased about how active they were in trying to get this matter resolved quickly as well were: Mayor Gary McNamara, Deputy Mayor Joe Bachetti and my Councillor in Ward 2, Bill Altenhof. I knew that there was considerable discussion between them and the power firms to get this matter resolved as quickly as possible. In fact, on last Tuesday night, I was told that a Motion might be introduced at a City Council meeting demanding that the Electrical utilities fix up the problem as quickly as possible. As you will see that was not required to be done after all!

Obviously, I was not involved in all the actions among the three parties. I knew they were talking to each other but did not know what they were saying nor who was to do what nor when something positive was supposed to happen.

I arranged for a meeting with Joe Barile on the following Tuesday. It was going to be the time when we were to have a frank conversation about the issue and who was going to do what and when. He knew that I was going to be very direct with him and let him know that I thought that his firm was directly responsible for correcting the mess. After all, we as Tecumseh residents dealt with his firm.

Tuesday came. Our conversation started off very well as I told him what my thoughts were on the subject and what I thought his Company's responsibility for solving the problems for the customers was all about. Surprisingly, he really did not give me an answer to what I said. Rather he told me something completely and totally unexpected. The problem had been solved!

Through some terrific work done by the employees at Hydro One, they discovered not only what the problem was but fixed it. In other words, by the time that he arrived at my house to speak with me, the problem had been resolved!

Of course both of us discussed what would happen if the repair did not work and both agreed that care should be taken in making sure that nothing went wrong. So far, and fingers crossed, everything has turned out perfectly.

I think I could go into more detail but I do not think it is necessary. All what you, dear reader, should understand from what I have been writing is that the parties involved all worked extremely hard in trying to find a solution to the situation as quickly as possible for the aid of the Tecumseh residents. They did so amazingly well and very quickly!

I believe that we as residents of Tecumseh were treated properly and we should appreciate what these parties did for us.

To conclude, here is a note that Joe Barile wrote. Please take a look at it. I agree with what was said:

“Essex Powerlines is aware of numerous momentary faults (auto reclosers) which have affected and inconvenienced customers over the past week in the Town of Tecumseh. Essex Powerlines, with the assistance of Hydro One, believes that the likely root cause of the momentary outages has been determined and mitigation efforts were immediately undertaken in order to resolved the same. Essex Powerlines thanks Hydro One for taking steps to address this issue within their service territory in a prompt and efficient manner and we are also appreciative our customers patience and understanding while attempts were being made to resolve this issue.”
